The Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM) sponsored a dinner for the Beach Soccer Intercontinental Cup last Monday that will take place starting from Tuesday the 22nd to Saturday the 26th of November.
The dinner was attended by Juan Cusco with the FIFA beach soccer and top ranked officials from the Dubai Sports Council.
According to FIFA: “Dubai’s successful sponsorship to the Beach Soccer World Cup in 2009, and as considered as the best of its kind among all other beach football world championships, Dubai has been selected to organize the first edition of the Beach Football Intercontinental Cup due to the fact that FIFA believes in the high & pioneering abilities of the city”.
The Beach Soccer Intercontinental Cup – Dubai 2011- will be held at Jumeirah Beach Residence – the Walk, with participation of top world national teams; these are: UAE National Team, Russia, Brazil, Tahiti, Oman, Nigeria, Switzerland & Mexico.
The Organizing Committee has constructed an advanced venue that accommodates 3500 seats to host the Championship’s matches beside another venue for participating teams to perform training sessions.
