The Dubai Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM), in cooperation with the Emirates Culinary Guild (ECG), organised a ceremony at its Head Office to honour the hotels and sponsors for their support to the events it organised for the 40th UAE National Day celebrations in December 2011.
Mrs. Arwa Al Ghammai, DTCM Director of Operations and Events, presented certificates and mementos to the representatives of organisations which have extended their support to the programmes organised by the DTCM. Those honoured were Chef Uwe Micheel, President Emirates Culinary Guild, Mr. Robin Gomes, Vice President, Emirates Culinary Guild, Mr. Sudhakar Gupta, Director International Business Development at IFFCO Group, and Anna Kirakosyan, Sales Manager, Hotels & QSR at IFFCO Group.
Speaking on the occasion, Mrs. Arwa thanked the private sector organisations for their continued support to the events and other activities of the DTCM and said that the inspiring public-private sector partnership has been the key to the success of Dubai in tourism domain. She said the partnership with the ECG with the DTCM goes back to 10 years and worked to bring hotels closer to programmes and ensured its success.
