Maintaining its exceptional performance during the past ten years, the Dubai Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM) is all set to host world renowned Islamic preachers at the Ramadan Forum 2012 to enlighten Muslim expatriates in their native languages.

The annual event held under the patronage of Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation, Dubai, started on July 24, 2012 and will run till August 4 2012, under the theme “A Breeze of Mercy.”

However, lectures in foreign languages will begin on July 31 (tuesday). According to an official, the 11th session of the Ramadan Forum will present Four lectures for the non-Arab expatriates. The lectures will be delivered in English, Urdu, Malayalam and Tagalog.

“All the lectures will be delivered by internationally renowned scholars in different languages and the audience will have a chance to experience the essence of Ramadan with spiritually uplifting messages,” said Arshad Khan, Supervisor of Non-Arabic programmes .

Featuring several Islamic aspects, the programme will start with a lecture in Urdu by Shaykh Tauseef Ur-Rahman on the theme “Who is Allah” on July 31, or 12th Ramadan, at the Al Twar Tent, situated opposite the Dubai Airport Free Zone.

The title of fourth lecture is “The Religion of Mercy and Justice,” which will be delivered in Malayalam by Mohammed M Akbar (India) on August 1, or 13th Ramadan, at the Al Twar Tent.

While Sheikh Omar Penalber (Philippines) will deliver a talk in Tagalog on “The Path to Salvation” on August 2, or 14th Ramadan, the last lecture will be delivered in English by Yusha Evans (USA) on the topic “The Prophet of Mercy” on August 3, or 15th Ramadan, at the same venue.
